CCDC’s HerStory 《女書》
HerStory is an original new work by internationally renowned choreographer Helen Lai. She is inspired by Nüshu, the written language developed and used exclusively by women in Hunan province and the prose of local female writers Xi Xi (西西) and Wong Bik-wan (黃碧雲). Through the perceptive artistry of CCDC dancers, Helen Lai delves into women’s fantasies and tells HerStory in another, altogether different, vocabulary.
