王丹,會有那麼一天

王丹,會有那麼一天...

是差不多廿年前的事了。如果記憶沒錯,田園書局在六.四十年後為王丹出了一本詩集。忘記了在怎樣的機緣下讀到它。之前在不同的刊物報章都陸續的讀到王丹的詩。那次讀著學究長輩老氣橫秋的在序文中叮囑詩人王丹「好自為之」,心裡滿是一番滋味。
讀著讀著,讀到「會有那麼一天」,就覺得已漫入中年的詩人從來沒有放下過丁點心懷的希望,當然比起很多「靠椅評客」(armchair critics)--特別是那些支著高薪執鞭的教匠--自知其詩明。
我覺得「會有那麼一天」就是一首歌,既可唸,更可唱,就匆匆翻譯出英文本,又寫出一個副歌(chorus)來。第一次的演出,就是在自己的「詩歌作為」(poetrial proclaimprayos)上,在牛棚,詩文本還找了雄仔叔來和我粵/英語交叉對唸。之後又在台北的「地下社會」再演過一次,由一位北京的朋友代唸王丹的原文本,我唱自己的翻譯本。
無知這裡的版權問題,我不便在這抄錄「會有那麼一天」原文,但我的英文版是這樣的:

THERE'LL BE A DAY

there'll be a day
when roses blossom in cold breeze
consolidate into hopes
thrive in the sound of drums
there'll be a day
everything transcends into a will

there'll be a day
a folk song sang a thousand years
re-emerges into the panorama
visions once blinded by apathy
re-vision the world again
waves wave atop the mountain

there'll be a day
empathy re-lives its dreams
bodies stiffened begin to
re-awake on the shore
there'll be a day
survivors rendezvous in tears

there'll be a day
we could no longer carry
the weight of thoughts
bodies that fell
could withstand the insistence to re-stand

there'll be a day
all seeds sown
shall grow through the soil
in a time when bells toll
we could bid farewell to winter
when autumn is gone

王丹又一次被拒入境,那種「國家級」的謬臉真的僵化得已再無所謂,「自好為之」。
