The Pacific Rim Community Design Network sent out an open letter to HKSAR (published on inmediaHK on Nov. 23 and a copy sent to the Transportation Department on Nov. 26) to call for a just relocation process for Choi Yuen village in Hong Kong. There are 41 planners and scholars over the world, including respectable Professor John Friedmann, Randy Hester, John K.C. Liu, and Graem Bristol from Centre for Architecture and Human Rights endorsing the open letter.
However, nothing really changes so far. We are eager to voice out for Choi Yuen village and more cases coming in Hong Kong and around the world. Please see the attachments for the second open letter and the images taken on Nov 29. We are hoping that these messages can reached HKSAR as soon as possible. It is a very urgent call to share with the world.
