These're what I asked/reminded my students:
- What if a non-Chinese HK resident was killed/hurt in the crisis...
- I really hate to say that: perhaps the crisis clearly showed the true meaning of "3rd World" (don't just blame the Western media even though sometimes they're really bias & steroetype) (i.e. the Filipino gov't sent neither special rescue team nor army)
- Request a foreign gov't to do something is one thing; demanding a foreign gov't to do something is another thing!!!
- Sometimes nationalism is raised in political purpose...
- Will we also pay some attention to the others who're also suffering horrible disaster; e.g. the horrible flooding in Pakistan & trapped miners in Chile
